Munckhof chosen as school transport partner for the City of Amsterdam

Munckhof won the tender for school transport in the City of Amsterdam and will arrange and provide transport for roughly 940 pupils starting next school year. The contract will run until at least 2022.

Drivers wanted

The contract for school transport in Amsterdam will enter into effect next school year. 'Our team of experts at the Mobility Centre in Horst is responsible for overseeing and coordinating this substantial contract,' says Jos Poortinga, director of Munckhof Taxi. 'Transport will largely be provided by our branch in Zaandam using green gas vehicles. In order to carry out the contract, we are currently looking for a hundred additional taxi drivers. Interested persons can apply via our vacancy site: www.werkenbijmunckhof.nl.'

From A to B with love

The City of Amsterdam wanted a transport partner that, in their words, could offer transport 'from A to B with love'. Munckhof was selected as the winner. 'At Munckhof, we always put people first,' continues Poortinga. 'From travellers to clients to staff. This is an important aspect of our service provision as well. We train our employees on how to interact with target groups, we involve clients in everything we do and we listen to the needs and wishes of travellers and try to incorporate these into our services as much as possible. It's the people who make Munckhof what it is, and we're pleased that this is one of the reasons the city authority chose us as its travel partner.'
