Munckhof acquires Valleihopper transport services in the Food Valley region

Munckhof won the tender for acquiring the Valleihopper transport services in the Food Valley region. This means Munckhof will take over a large part of the group transport services in the municipalities of Ede, Wageningen and Nijkerk.

Expanding the transport portfolio

Winning this contract will help Munckhof further expand its services in the central Netherlands. Munckhof recently won several transport contracts in the provinces of Gelderland and Zuid-Holland. 'We're extremely pleased to be able to expand our services in the centre of the country,' explains Jos Poortinga, director of Munckhof Taxi. 'As part of this contract, we will arrange social support transport for various municipalities and pupil transport in Wageningen as of 1 January 2017. This will be expanded in the long term to include pupil transport for other municipalities as well, and may also include client transport to and from daily activity centres.'

Extra staff

Munckhof is currently looking for new employees to help execute these new transport activities. 'We will recruit a large number of employees in accordance with our collective labour agreement,' says Poortinga. 'These drivers will be presented with a suitable job offer; however, we will also hire a lot of new drivers from the region. Interested candidates can apply on our website.'
