More service and customization in event transportation
In regular event transportation, the focus is often on transporting as many people as possible as quickly as possible. This type of transportation is characterized by large buses, central boarding points and many people. In event transportation for people with disabilities or transportation related to disabled sports, we focus on more service, customization for the traveler and smaller-scale transportation. With this focus, we ensure that every visitor or participant can fully enjoy the event or tournament.

Suitable fleet and skilled drivers
When transporting travelers with disabilities, it is essential to have the right equipment available. Munckhof uses hundreds of wheelchair-accessible vans and has several wheelchair coaches in its fleet. In addition, we work with a nationwide network of transportation partners, allowing us to provide the appropriate fleet for every event.

Munckhof's approach is distinguished by the colleagues involved in the transportation. Our drivers have completed extensive training on how to interact with travelers. They have specialized knowledge in transporting wheelchair users and know how to behave around people with intellectual disabilities. We also take the travelers into account when planning the transportation. More time is allocated for boarding and disembarking, suitable boarding locations are selected, and the vehicles are clearly recognizable.

Expert in event transportation with special requirements
Munckhof's experience in this special branch of event transportation is evident from the projects we have carried out in the past. During the Floriade in Venlo, Munckhof was responsible for transporting all visitors to the event. Regular visitors were transported in city buses, while wheelchair users were brought to the event site in wheelchair taxis.

At the 2018 Wheelchair Tennis World Cup in Apeldoorn, Munckhof was the transportation partner for the athletes. Due to the special sports wheelchairs, customization was essential. We transported the international athletes daily from the hotel to the sports complex and back. A wonderful example of how we support disabled sports with appropriate transportation.

Finally, Munckhof is also a welcome partner at festivals. The annual Funpop Festival is entirely focused on people with intellectual disabilities. The event is very popular with the target group and requires well-organized transportation through Munckhof.

On Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13, 2024, Munckhof provided important transportation services for the 40th edition of the ASML Marathon in Eindhoven. Munckhof deployed 13 taxi buses to transport Red Cross employees along the route and to pick up participants who had dropped out. The drivers were briefed in detail in the days leading up to the event and were in constant contact with the organization via mobile radios during the marathon itself. The organization, the Red Cross, and Munckhof can all look back on a successful event.
