Munckhof publishes its first Sustainability Report

Munckhof has published its first sustainability report. In the report, we provide insight into the most important sustainability themes within our organization and highlight the steps we took in 2025. With this, we are taking the next step toward our ambition to provide sustainable, safe, and responsible passenger transportation.

Responsibility for People, Passengers, and the Planet

For Munckhof, sustainability means taking responsibility - for our employees, our passengers, and the communities where we operate, as well as for the planet. Transparency plays a key role in this. By being open about our performance and areas for improvement, we remain honest with ourselves and our stakeholders.

The sustainability report serves as the starting point for annual reporting in which we provide insight into the topics that are most important to Munckhof. These topics are divided into four pillars:

  • Our planet: climate change, pollution, water, resource use, and waste;
  • Our people: equal opportunities, health & safety, and learning & development;
  • Our passengers & communities: traffic safety and passenger satisfaction;
  • Business Operations: ethics & compliance, cybersecurity & data privacy, and sustainable business relationships.

Sustainability in numbers

The report shows that sustainability is becoming increasingly integrated into Munckhof’s day-to-day operations. For example, by 2025, only 22% of the fleet was still running on diesel. In addition, Munckhof consumed 8.4% less diesel than in 2024, a significant step toward making our transportation services more sustainable.

Progress was also made in the social sphere. Women now make up 23% of the management team. Furthermore, passenger safety remained a key priority. In 2025, Munckhof recorded just one injury per 23.25 million kilometers driven - a result that underscores the importance of safe transportation.

A significant step forward

According to Hans van Dam, Group Sustainability Manager, the report marks an important milestone for the organization: “We’ve taken a giant leap forward in a very short time. This is our very first sustainability report, and we’ve succeeded in aligning it closely with the latest version of the ESRS and having it voluntarily audited. This truly demonstrates the importance Munckhof places on sustainability, reliability, and responsible business practices.”
