Change in management at Munckhof Group
On July 1, Jos Poortinga will step down as Director of Taxi Services at Munckhof Group. Jos has held this position since 2008. He has played an important role in the enormous growth and professionalization that Munckhof Group, and Munckhof Taxi in particular, have undergone over the years. Jos announced in December 2022 that he would be leaving the world of passenger transport and is still considering a new challenge. Arjan Wiering joined the company in April and has already taken over Jos's duties. As COO, he now forms the management team of Munckhof Group, together with Tom Roefs (CEO) and Patrick Straetemans (CFO).
Why this change?
“After more than 15 years at Munckhof and a total of 25 years in passenger transport, it's time for something new,” says Jos Poortinga. "I am proud of what we have achieved and of the company as it is today. We have been working for years in a highly competitive market, where our clients' demands are high and the labor market is particularly tight. Combined with the fact that the assignments are often large and complex, this requires a company like Munckhof to continuously stay on top of its game. Together with a great team, we have achieved a remarkable performance in this regard in recent years. I look back on a wonderful period with great enthusiasm and hand over the reins to Arjan Wiering with complete confidence."
Who is Arjan Wiering?
After more than twelve years in public transport, Arjan Wiering has now made the switch to Munckhof Group. In his role as Chief Operating Officer (COO), he is responsible for all taxi and coach activities within the Passenger Transport business line. "I started at Munckhof in mid-April and have spent the past few weeks working intensively with Jos on the handover and getting to know the organization. I am proud to be taking over from him. Munckhof is a great organization where more than 1,800 colleagues work passionately every day to get all passengers to their desired destination on time and satisfied. The challenges Jos talks about are still very relevant. That means all hands on deck. I am really looking forward to working with a strong team of professionals."
