School transport Municipality of Bergen op Zoom & Woensdrecht

Since January 1, 2020, Munckhof has been providing student transportation for the municipalities of Bergen op Zoom and Woensdrecht. Taxi companies De Groen and Geers have been working together for a long time, under the direction of Munckhof. Every day, around 300 children are taken from home to school and picked up again. In addition, Munckhof and its subcontractors provide weekly transport for gym and swimming lessons.

The collaboration between the municipalities and Munckhof has been smooth and efficient since the start. There is daily contact between Ms. Jaballah, school transport consultant for the WMO team in Bergen op Zoom, and the employees of Munckhof Regie. Several times a year, an evaluation takes place with Munckhof's permanent account manager and both municipalities.

A good start and lasting trust

During an interview for this reference, Ms. Jaballah looks back on the collaboration since implementation. She says enthusiastically: "I would describe the collaboration with Munckhof as very pleasant and enjoyable. I have been involved in this tender from the start, and the contact has been clear and positive from day one. Although it has been a while, I still remember how I immediately had a good feeling about Munckhof's working methods. Thanks to their own control center, they are always available, and I quickly realized that this was exactly what we needed. Our student transport has really improved with Munckhof."

Flexibility and continuity, every school year

The start of a new school year always brings new challenges, especially in student transportation. For Ms. Jaballah, this remains an intense period every year:
“We work with a vulnerable target group, so it is important that everything is well organized. Continuity is essential for both parents and students. Munckhof understands that very well. They provide fixed routes and drivers who drive the same students throughout the year. This ensures that everything runs smoothly, and if something does go wrong, we take it seriously and solve it together.”

Always available and solution-oriented

What is particularly striking about the collaboration is Munckhof's availability, something that is greatly appreciated by both municipalities. Ms. Jaballah says: "Munckhof is easily accessible, and we know where to find each other when necessary. In the beginning, there was a lot of contact, but now only when it is really necessary. Where many students are transported, there will always be complaints, but we take these seriously together. In most cases, we resolve them quickly. And if that doesn't work, we know that we have done everything we can. That gives us confidence."
