School transport Bernheze, Boekel, Maashorst, and Meierijstad

In these times of driver shortages and their consequences, I think Munckhof is doing really well.

In the municipalities of Bernheze, Boekel, Maashorst, and Meierijstad, 20 to 30 students are transported from home to school and vice versa every weekday. Munckhof has been providing this student transportation since August 2022. Melissa Beemsterboer from the municipality of Boekel has been involved since the tendering process and has nothing but praise for the way Munckhof has organized the student transport. Four times a year, she sits down with an account manager from Munckhof to discuss their most important key performance indicators (KPIs): punctuality, structure, and continuity. “In these times of driver shortages and the consequences thereof, I think Munckhof is doing a really good job.”

"The collaboration with Munckhof has been very smooth from the start. What we like is that there is a lot of openness in business. That openness, which seems natural to Munckhof, was already evident from the first documents submitted in the tendering process. Even after Munckhof won the tender, they continued to communicate with us in a smooth and open manner. When we asked for additional information, it was quickly provided. I would describe the collaboration with Munckhof as good and transparent, both at the beginning and now during the daily implementation."

Quick response and action

“What makes working with Munckhof so special is that they not only respond quickly, but also take immediate action when a situation requires it. The entire industry is under pressure due to the national driver shortage, so I think it's impressive that Munckhof manages to pick up all the students on time every day and take them to school. At Munckhof, they understand that structure and punctuality are important. The same drivers and continuity in drop-off and pick-up times are what work for the students."

Few complaints

"In the past quarter, only one complaint was registered. That is exceptional when it comes to student transportation. When students are transported every day, things can sometimes go wrong, for example with the pick-up schedules. Recently, the schedule was incorrect. Apologies were quickly offered and the schedule was immediately adjusted. This meant that the routes could still be driven at the correct times and the parents and students were not inconvenienced."

Quick solution

“Another thing we like is that Munckhof has its own control center. This means that, as a client, you have a single point of contact that you can always call. The person you speak to can immediately consult with their colleagues, so you don't have to get involved in difficult discussions with an external call center. They immediately start thinking about solutions, no fuss. That's really commendable, that you can arrange things like that, even if it's a small job."

Room for improvement

So is everything perfect? “We are very satisfied, but there is always room for improvement. Among other things, there is still room for improvement in the areas of sustainability and electric driving. Discussions about this are currently being held with Munckhof's account manager.”
