Kempenplus
About KempenPlus
KempenPlus is the participation company of the Kempen municipalities of Bergeijk, Bladel, Eersel, and Reusel-De Mierden. It also provides certain services for the residents of the municipality of Oirschot. It is responsible for implementing the Participation Act, (parts of) the Integration Act, and the Social Employment Act in the affiliated municipalities.
KempenPlus helps residents of the Kempen municipalities who need support to return to work. Preferably, through training and coaching, among other things, clients are helped to find work with regular employers. If that is not possible, they can work in a sheltered environment at or through KempenPlus. With approximately 700 employees, KempenPlus is one of the largest employers in the region.
Munckhof has been a transport partner since 2014
Nico Engwerda (Operations and Support Manager) and Marco Kuster (KAM employee) were closely involved in the selection process for a collective passenger transport provider in 2014. They explain, "The decision to choose Munckhof was made at the time with the assistance of Bizob. Munckhof emerged as the most suitable transport partner based on their plan of action in combination with their pricing." In particular, the use of MobiliteitsManager has led to improved efficiency and greater insight into route planning. Munckhof communicates and manages client transport and, with it, route planning from this digital platform. This also provides insight into changes made by Munckhof, schedules, routes, and registrations and deregistrations. In addition, the location data of all Munckhof vehicles can be tracked via this transport management system. By taking a closer and more critical look at the usefulness and necessity of transport, KempenPlus has also been able to realize savings. In 2019, a new tender took place and Munckhof was once again selected. Another appealing factor was the professional manner in which the management was organized and implemented.
Effective communication
The transition from local transport companies to Munckhof in 2014 was quite a challenge. Nico explains: "Despite the information sessions, employees and drivers still had to get used to things like the numbering of the buses at first, which meant that people sometimes got on the wrong bus. Now, in 2023, people are so used to the drivers that the numbering is no longer necessary. The use of subcontractors also required some attention, especially when it came to the timeliness of trips. Fortunately, communication with the account managers at Munckhof is excellent, the control department is easily and quickly accessible, and problems and questions are resolved quickly.”
Finally
Nico concludes the interview with the words, “Munckhof is a professional organization that is capable of organizing things well in a complex market. There is an organizational structure behind Munckhof that ensures that things run smoothly.” Marco adds, “I also notice that people work at Munckhof for a long time, unlike other organizations where you have to deal with different contact persons time and time again. This says something about the organization.”
