Healthcare transport A Zorg

From the outset, the collaboration felt like a small bubble in which everything fell into place.

Since April 2025, Munckhof has been providing transportation for participants to the A Zorg day center in Nuenen. The collaboration came about when A Zorg started looking for a transportation provider that could grow with them. A Zorg was looking for a reliable mobility partner that could respond quickly. Munckhof proved to be the perfect match for A Zorg's needs and vision.

A Zorg, which provides care and day activities for people with dementia or other support needs, takes a personal approach: the focus is on the individual. Whereas many organizations talk about ‘day activities’, A Zorg deliberately chooses the term ‘day experience’. Not to keep people busy, but to give them a meaningful and enjoyable day. The healthcare institution sought the same approach in a transport partner and found it in Munckhof.

“Our previous transport provider had been unable to meet our needs for some time. Trip planning fluctuated, there were too few drivers to cover all the trips, and ultimately, A Zorg employees ended up driving participants around themselves. This was at the expense of the attention given to the participants in the day experience. We are not a taxi company,” says Marijke van den Eynden, Assistant Care Manager at A Zorg.

When A Zorg started looking for a new partner, Munckhof immediately stood out. “Munckhof wanted to visit us, contribute ideas, and see what was needed. It felt right from the very first contact. They were immediately clear: ‘this is who we are, this is what we can offer’. Transparent and professional, exactly what we needed,” explains Marijke.

From initial contact to implementation in three weeks

The first trips started on April 22, 2025. Thanks to close cooperation, rapid information exchange, and the efforts of mobility partners such as Werotax, Munckhof was able to get started in record time. Chiel Rijs, Account Manager at Munckhof, remembers it well: "The first meeting with Marijke was immediately productive. A Zorg quickly provided participant lists and, together with our colleagues, we immediately arranged the routes. Within three weeks, we were driving.“ ”The collaboration felt like a small bubble in which everything fell into place,“ says Marijke. ”The drivers were on time, and the participants hardly noticed that we had changed transport providers. The transport was immediately structured."

Flexibility and a personal approach

The good match between Munckhof and A Zorg was evident in their shared flexibility, among other things. Because the trip times tied in well with Munckhof's existing trips in the region, capacity could be deployed quickly. Where there was less of a match, A Zorg helped to adjust the times.

Contact with drivers is also pleasant. Participants respond positively, partly thanks to the drivers' knowledge of the target group. “Munckhof works with drivers who have completed the ‘Dementia-Friendly Together’ training course. You can see that. They connect well with our people. And if someone has less experience, you still immediately see a professional attitude. And we know that if the drivers have not yet completed the training, they will be offered it, and that makes all the difference to us.”

Building together

A Zorg and Munckhof are confident about the future. For Marijke, the most important things are short lines of communication, transparent communication, and professional conduct. "Munckhof has shown that it can adapt quickly, thinks along with us, and is honest about what it can and cannot do. We feel heard and taken seriously. And the Mobility Manager app (an app developed by Munckhof itself for group transport) also allows us to communicate efficiently, without waiting times. If it were up to us, we would continue to grow together. We want to expand with new day care locations, and Munckhof is a reliable partner for us in that growth," concludes Marijke.
