Munckhof wins tender for school transport in Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam, and Molenlanden

Munckhof recently won the tender for student transportation for the municipalities of Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam, and Molenlanden. Munckhof will be responsible for transporting students to schools outside these municipal boundaries for a period of five years, with the option of two one-year extensions.

From the start date on August 1 this year, Munckhof will transport approximately 125 students safely from home to school and back every day.

Strengthening our position in the region

This contract win strengthens Munckhof's position in the region, where the company already carries out several transport assignments. “We are extremely proud to have earned the trust of the municipalities of Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam, and Molenlanden,” says Arjan Wiering, Managing Director of Munckhof. “Winning this contract not only strengthens our position in the region, but also expands our national coverage as a high-quality and sustainable transport provider.”

Sustainable and reliable transport

Munckhof is strongly committed to sustainability and innovation. From August 1, 2027, at least 70% of school transport for Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam, and Molenlanden will be carried out using zero-emission vehicles. This fits in seamlessly with the sustainability objectives of both Munckhof and the municipalities involved.

Munckhof will be responsible for two-thirds of the contract. For the remaining part, Munckhof will be working with Bolderman, a transport partner with whom Munckhof has been working constructively for other clients for some time. This collaboration enables Munckhof to guarantee the continuity and flexibility of its services.
