Munckhof wins tender for student transport in Hoeksche Waard municipality
Munckhof has won the tender for student transportation in the municipality of Hoeksche Waard. With this new contract, which will take effect at the start of the 2025-2026 school year, Munckhof will be responsible for transporting approximately 340 students for the next four years, with a possible extension of two one-year periods.
The contract consists of two lots, both of which were won by Munckhof. Lot 1 concerns the transport of approximately 160 pupils to destinations within the municipality of Hoeksche Waard, and lot 2 concerns the transport of approximately 180 pupils to schools outside the municipal boundaries. These are pupils attending primary education, special education, or secondary (special) education.
Collaboration with transport partner EDAD
Munckhof will be collaborating with its transport partner EDAD, among others, to carry out this project. EDAD has been working for the municipality of Hoeksche Waard for some time and provides transport both within the municipality and to destinations outside Hoeksche Waard. The basic principle is that EDAD will continue to drive the routes they already operate as much as possible, so that pupils and parents and/or guardians can maintain the structure that is important to them. Munckhof will drive the remaining routes and take charge of this assignment.
Trust and continuity
Arjan Wiering, Managing Director of Munckhof, is delighted with this new assignment: "We are proud to have earned the trust of the municipality of Hoeksche Waard. This fits perfectly with our strategy to further strengthen our position in this region. Thanks to our collaboration with EDAD, we can guarantee high-quality and reliable student transportation, and parents and caregivers can continue to count on their familiar faces behind the wheel."
