Munckhof strengthens focus on road safety with e-Driver pilot
Road safety has been one of Munckhof's key priorities for many years. To ensure that this topic remains top of mind for drivers, Munckhof is launching a pilot program called e-Driver in collaboration with Verkeersveiligheid Groep Nederland, a specialist in interactive road safety training.
More than 50 drivers are participating in the pilot, including taxi drivers from all Munckhof taxi branches and several coach drivers from Munckhof Reizen Horst. They are following a program consisting of various interactive videos. Once every six weeks, participants receive a short, stimulating training video with challenging questions. The videos aim to actively involve drivers in important safety aspects of their daily work.
Continued focus on road safety
Senior Operations Manager Edwin Besseling is looking forward to the start of the pilot: "At Munckhof, we consider road safety to be an essential responsibility. The e-Driver program helps us ensure that our drivers remain constantly alert to safe driving behavior and are aware of the risks on the road. The interactive videos encourage drivers to think about current safety issues and keep their knowledge up to date."
Duration of the pilot
The pilot will last four to six months, after which the results will be carefully analyzed. “The selected drivers were invited via a newsletter from our managers and come from all our taxi branches and Munckhof Reizen Horst. Their experiences and feedback play an important role in the evaluation of the program. Depending on the results, we will consider whether to roll out the program further within Munckhof,” says Besseling.
