Munckhof Further Expands Fleet with 55 New Vehicles

Munckhof has recently expanded its fleet with 55 new vehicles, including both electric and Euro 6 models, which will be deployed regionally and nationally. This expansion addresses the diverse mobility needs of its customers.

Electric Vehicles for School Transport

The majority of the new fleet, 20 Citroën e-Jumpys and 25 Mercedes e-Vitos, are fully electric and will be used for school transport for Bravo in Midden-Brabant, operated by Munckhof Taxi Tilburg.

Euro 6 Vehicles for Long-Distance Travel

In addition, Munckhof has added 10 Mercedes Vitos to its fleet. These vehicles meet the strictest European emission standards (Euro 6) and were specifically chosen for long-distance travel. With capacity for eight passengers, extra luggage space, and a range of at least 500 kilometers, they are ideal for assignments beyond regional boundaries.

Nationwide Coverage

To make the best use of the new Euro 6 vehicles, they will be distributed across all Munckhof Taxi branches: Munckhof Taxi Arnhem, Maasbuurt, Horst, Tilburg, Groot-Amsterdam and Holland, ensuring optimal nationwide coverage.

Why Not Fully Electric?

Edwin Besseling, Senior Manager Asset Management & Support, explains the choice of vehicles:
“Our fleet currently consists of 41% electric vehicles, complemented by 38% CNG and 21% diesel vehicles. Unfortunately, for long-distance assignments, fully electric vehicles are still not always sufficient. That is why, for these specific trips, we still rely on vehicles that are not emission-free. We hope that technological developments will eventually change this situation.”
