Munckhof expands fleet to 600 zero-emission vehicles

Munckhof has expanded its fleet with more than 100 new zero-emission vehicles. As a result, almost half of the total fleet now consists of zero-emission vehicles, and 80% of all journeys are carried out sustainably with vehicles that run on zero-emission, green gas, or hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) fuel.

The new vehicles: 49 Citroën e-Jumpys, 20 BYD Atto 3s, 10 Ford e-Transits, and 26 Kia e-Niros, will mainly be used in the coming years for student transport and on-demand transport from the taxi stations in Zaandam, Arnhem, Heijen, Horst, and Tilburg. The vehicles have been purchased specifically for assignments from RegioRijder, Avan, Bravo, and Omnibuzz.

Munckhof has the ambition to be completely zero-emission by 2035, and according to Managing Director Arjan Wiering, this expansion is an important step in that direction: "With the recent expansion of our zero-emission fleet, we are not only investing in a more sustainable future, but also in safer and more modern transport. Our new vehicles are equipped with advanced safety systems, such as lane assist, sensors, and tire pressure monitoring. In addition, the quiet engines provide a more pleasant driving experience, which increases comfort for both our drivers and passengers."
