Group Sustainability Manager Hans van Dam joins InfraMobility

As soon as you walk into a branch of InfraMobility and its subsidiaries Hansea or Munckhof, the ESG commitment proudly displayed on the wall immediately catches your eye. If Group Sustainability Manager Hans van Dam has his way, employees will discover what that promise really means in the coming years. This month, he embarked on his mission to translate sustainability at InfraMobility, Hansea, and Munckhof into concrete actions that everyone can feel.

From vision to action for sustainable change

Hans is no stranger to the world of sustainability. Before joining InfraMobility, he worked at various companies on making processes more sustainable, always applying a critical and fair perspective. He enjoys solving challenges through collaboration and optimization, and sees the bigger picture in which companies can learn from each other.

On LinkedIn, Hans is active in a community that focuses on reporting on sustainability, and he regularly publishes stories to inspire others. "Through this, I hope to help companies and organizations apply sustainability in practice. At InfraMobility, Hansea, and Munckhof, I see that we are already doing many good things. Think of our ever-growing electric fleet, but also the strong focus on the happiness of our passengers and even the optimization of our routes. These are all things that have a positive impact on a daily basis."

Last summer, Hans sat down with a number of colleagues to lay the foundations for a strategy. His role consists of three core tasks: Action, Communication, and Reporting. “On the one hand, I want to increase our positive impact as much as possible and, on the other hand, ensure that employees are aware of what we are already doing, what the plans are, and how they can contribute to them.” In addition, I will be responsible for reporting on the sustainability performance of Munckhof and Hansea (which we will be required to do from 2026 onwards due to agreements with the European Union). It's a long-term mission, but ultimately it's about people feeling what we do, not just hearing what we say," Hans emphasizes.

Delighted

His approach is simple and down-to-earth: no words, just concrete actions. Hans is looking forward to working with everyone at InfraMobility, Hansea, and Munckhof toward a future in which sustainability is not just a goal, but a matter of course in everything we do. “We are already doing a lot of good, but ultimately I want everyone to consciously contribute and feel it.”

The appointment of Hans van Dam as Sustainability Manager at InfraMobility is the next step towards an innovative and sustainable future for passenger transport. Before the summer, Bruno Humblet was appointed as the new CEO of InfraMobility. Bruno is looking forward to working with Hans to take many more steps towards a cleaner, safer, and more efficient future.
